Two Weekends: Beijing-Shanghai
Beijing
Massive historical structures, delectable Peking Duck, good train transport system, traffic and pollution – these were the things I experienced in Beijing.
Recommended places to visit/things to do while in Beijing:
1) Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City (one whole day)
Tiananmen Square is where chairman Mao Tze Dong formally announced the the establishment of the People's Republic of China and where the infamous bulldozing of freedom activists by military tankers took place The National Museum of China is located in one of the sides of the square.
Just across Tiananmen Square is the majestic Forbidden City, a UNESCo World Heritage Site. Be prepared to walk a lot as t his a huge area of historical buildings.
